In our 82nd instalment of “Stumbled Upon”, we meet the UK’s Tim Muddiman and The Strange and chat about touring with Gary Numan and Pop Will Eat Itself, recording with friends, and his upcoming release ‘Your Drugs’.

Members & their roles:
Tim Muddiman and writes, records and produces everything and invited friends to contribute in some areas. Other musicians that have contributed to the recordings are Jason Bowld (killing Joke- Pitchshifter) Drums. Chad Langston (Hounds) Drums. Mischa Den Harring(T-99) Guitar. Ade Fenton (Gary Numan) has co-produced four of the songs) Victor Van Vugt(Nick Cave . PJ Harvey) has mixed the two new songs due for release in November.

The live band includes: Adam Gammage, Drums. Dan Battison, Bass. Sam Harvey Guitar.

What music or artists inspired you?
Tom Waits, Nick Cave and The Bad Seeds, Nine Inch Nails, Gary Numan, John Lee Hooker, Rockabilly, The Smiths, David Lynch, Jim Jarmusch, Fleetwood Mac.

How did you get started?
After long term touring commitments with Gary Numan and Pop Will Eat Itself I started writing and writing and writing. I asked friends to help me perform live and the rest is snowballing from there. The writing continues as does our plans for more live shows, more videos and more music.

Organic, dynamic, sincere, intriguing, powerful and a landscape of hooks and powerful songs

Tell us about your latest release:
The last release was called ‘Rolling Stones’. It is a modern Blues Track. The next song due for release in November and is called ‘Your Drugs’.
