What music or artists inspired you?
I think, like anyone, we listen to music that we feel a connection with. And it doesn’t matter where that music comes from. But if listed some of our favourite, most influential bands/artists, there would be quite a few American bands/artists. Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty, Band Of Horses, The National, The War On Drugs, they’ve released some phenomenal records. But also I think Nick Cave is a massive influence on us, particularly lyrically.

How did the band get started?
I’m Russ and I’m the singer and bassist. Tom’s my brother and a while ago we used to play in a band together. At the time when our drummer left, Andy, a friend from university, had just moved back home and was looking to do something. It was just good timing really. We all wanted to do something different to what we’d previously been involved in too and I guess the combination of the three of us just kind of worked.

How would you best describe your live show:
Honesty, energy, tension and love.

What shows do you have coming up?
Just UK shows at the moment. We’ve got a few festivals lined up over the summer and some more UK dates to announce shortly.
Keep an eye on Facebook for more dates.

Tell us about your latest release:
Our debut album, released just this month, is called Incapacitated, Ill Fated, and In Love . The title’s a lyric from a track on the album called ‘Why Don’t You Wait’. The album, I guess, is about love. But not in a ‘I Want To Hold a Your Hand’ sort of way. It’s romantic, but in a kind of dark and twisted way.
