What music or artists inspired you?
I like loads of different artists including Johnette Napolitano from Concrete Blonde, PJ Harvey, The Kills, Santi Gold, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Amanda Palmer, as well lots of older artists like Nina Simone and Leonard Cohen. As for inspiration for our music, Sonja and I both have a similar taste in artists and obviously they influence our sound due to having similar sensibilities. We try to create (and sometimes without trying) music that doesn’t have a similar sound to what’s already been done and especially don’t want to mimic our favourite artists but instead do something that we like to play and that sounds good to us.

How did the band get started?
I have known Sonja for many years, though one night I was hanging out with some friends and we all started jamming together. After a bit of coaxing to get Sonja on the piano, she started writing something to a song I had written and we just loved it. We both had a natural sense to a sound we wanted to create which is essentially the fusing of both our different writing styles.

How would you best describe your live show:
Us, our instruments, words that mean something, realness, slight angst.

What shows do you have coming up?
We are currently playing Australian shows for our English Summer Tour, covering Melbourne, Sydney, Tasmania and Brisbane before heading over to the UK for a road trip tour that includes Scotland!

Keep an eye on Facebook for more dates.

Tell us about your latest release:
Our latest release Unnoticed, followed on from our first EP, Rabbit Hole (both EP’s were produced by Lachlan Mitchell). We ventured into the world of electronic beats on this latest EP and really enjoyed fusing our song writing with electronic programming. It is the next phase of where we want to go for our album.

Where can I get your music?
Itunes , Bandcamp.,on our website or at one of our shows.
