Anticipation is rising as fans await the remaining dates one of the country's biggest festivals, Parklife. With a reputation for being a launching board for some of the most talented and experienced artists, it's no surprise to see Sweden's Adrian Lux headlining this year's festival.
In 2010, Adrian Lux was number 6 on the triple J Hottest 100 charts with 'Teenage Crime', his most well known tune. With close to 400,000 plays on his YouTube page, it is clear that he is making waves in the music industry both in Sweden and Australia.
AU Review caught up with Adrian Lux in preperation for this weekend.
With a thick accent and a infectious laugh, it is obvious that Adrian is just a little bit excited about his remaining performances this weekend. This is his first time in Australia and when asked what he liked most he had one answer... "Parklife".
Adrian is hoping to really "get the crowd going" with what's happening on stage, which for most fans should be a fairly easy task! He is also hoping to achieve some mass sales, so bring some change Parklifers! Adrian laughs when he says that the first CD he ever brought was a Metallica CD.
Who are some of his influencers? Eric Prince is an artist that Adrian calls an influence on his music. When asked what the craziest thing that has ever happened on stage at one of his performances, he laughs as he tells of a flip-flop being thrown at him with police intervening, He still doesn't know if that is a good thing! So parklife goers, no throwing flip-flops!
Adrian's advice for young DJ's and Artists wanting to follow in his footsteps, "Try to make something original, always try to have fun."
Original and fun will definately be on the cards for this artist's performace at Brisbane Parklife this weekend. Adrian will be performing at the Kakadu stage at 3:50 in Brisbane, ahead of Parklife shows in Sydney and Adelaide!
