MORE INFO ABOUT THIS ARTIST AND TOUR:

Gorillaz will be making their long awaited live debut in Australia & New Zealand in December 2010. With their 2010 headline performances at Glastonbury & Coachella featuring appearances from the full Gorillaz entourage including Bashy, De La Soul, Mick Jones & Paul Simonon (The Clash), Kano, Little Dragon, Mos Def, National Orchestra for Arabic Music, Gruff Rhys, Shaun Ryder and Bobby Womack, we can't wait to see who'll be making the journey to Australia...

Playing songs from all three of their critically acclaimed albums (Gorillaz, Demon Days and Plastic Beach) this landmark arena tour will include a dynamic production featuring multi-media video animation, artwork and film. As Murdoc says "A phantasmagoria of sounds, colours and assaults on the senses."

The live show is a wild and organic experience, with the Gorillaz band holding things down behind many featured artists and video animation, artwork and stage design by Gorillaz director and collaborator Jamie Hewlett. While Gorillaz members Murdoc Niccals and Co have so far been thwarted in their attempts to appear on stage, the Gorillaz live band includes Damon Albarn, Mick Jones and Paul Simonon (The Clash), Mike Smith, Cass Browne, Jeff Wootton and Gabriel Manuals Wallace, as well as additional backing singers, brass sections and a full string ensemble. Confirmed special guests on their Australasian jaunt include De La Soul, Hypnotic Brass, Bobby Womack, the Syrian National Orchestra of Arabic Music, Bootie Brown, Little Dragon and Rosile Wilson. With more guests to be announced soon…
