MORE INFO ABOUT THIS ARTIST AND TOUR:

Dual songwriters Glenn Musto & Jodie Lee Bartlett are behind the now Melbourne based outfit College Fall.  Telling their stories within a cocoon of acoustic folk, indie pop or rollicking alternative rock, theirs is a sound that emanates from their roots; the western wastelands of outback Australia.  It’s a sound College Fall developed further through a love of the American indie-rock movement and a passion for writing gritty  heart-on-your-sleeve songs.

With the upcoming release of their sophomore album The Curse of Us, College Fall are embarking on a national tour.

The Curse of Us offers up an angrier, more organic and rough around the edges band than their previous releases hinted at. The biting guitars, bar room piano and angular structures are well-suited to the partly biographical, partly commentary analysis of the human condition.

An unflinching look into the harmful deeds people do to themselves and each other, The Curse of Us is not for the faint-hearted.

A band that don’t fit into any particular category or pigeonhole, College Fall don’t try to impress with  fashion or technique; their songs are not secrets or moments of sheer musical mastery. Instead, they give you authentic moments. Stories that ask difficult questions, that catch you at your most vulnerable. And there-in lies the brilliance.

Since their first performance in 2005, College Fall has continued to hone their skills both here and abroad.  Their debut LP album Eleven Letters was a bedrock of simple, sweet guitar and 80s synth.  Success ensued with first single Gravity scoring national airplay on Nova and Triple J in Australia.

Their world-embracing ethos brought them 5 European tours including Scandinavian folk festivals, British and Italian rock festivals, the London City Showcase in 2008, a date performing for the Danish Royal family and a tour of Japan, which included the 2009 Kansai Music Conference.

“In this period of music history, where songwriting is second place to marketability, and image rules over content, College Fall scream 'f**k you' through their delicate porcelain doll songs. The things that used to matter - lyrics, hooks and honesty -abound in every moment of this duo's music.”
 - Mike Wafer, X-Press Magazine

“I have hardly seen a band command an audience with so effervescently…beautiful acoustic guitar, delectable harmonies and songs that stay in your head for weeks. College Fall are the real deal”
- Andrew P Street, DB Magazine

“A world class act with beautiful songs. And to think they have been isolated down-under for all these years. I feel privileged to have watched College Fall play tonight…don’t miss them next time they visit our shores”
- Ann Moore, 24/7 Magazine (UK)
