E3 2015: Arkane Studios officially confirm Dishonoured 2 is on the way, HD remaster of Dishonoured also inbound

Sequel to the 2012 surprise hit, Dishonoured 2 is indeed in development at Arkane Studios. The news was confirmed by Arkane’s Harvey Smith and Raphael Colantonio (who were both endearingly, visibly nervous) at Bethesda’s first ever E3 press event today.

Bound for PS4, Xbox One and PC, the sequel will come with a new optional lead character, Emily Kaldwin who was the young princess in the original Dishonoured. You can choose to play as Emily or the original game’s protagonist, Corvo Attano. Once again, you can also opt to go a pure stealth route or charge in guns blazing.

In terms of story, Smith indicated that Dishonoured 2 sees the Empire of the Isles in trouble once more and can only watch on as an “otherworldly usurper seizes the throne.” You can check out the first trailer below.

Following the trailer, the guys then announced that the original game would be making a comeback this year withDishonoured: Definitive Edition, an HD remaster coming to Xbox One and PlayStation 4 that will contain the original and all of the game’s DLC in one convenient place.
