St Kilda Burger Bar scores a permanent residency at Arts Centre (Melbourne)

One of the city’s finest burgers-on-wheels, the St Kilda Burger Bar, has parked up their truck at a permanent location, securing a spot just outside of the Arts Centre in Melbourne CBD. The crew behind the truck will be opening up each morning, first with a selection of non-burger breakfast dishes from 8-10am and then a menu featuring four of their signature burgers, and hot chips as a side.

“Not only is this a great location but an honour to take St Kilda Burger Bar to the city where we can appeal to locals and tourists,” said owner Rabih Yanni. “Just minutes from both Flinders Street Station and Federation Square, the site is right in the middle of Melbourne’s arts and entertainment precinct, which is a real hive of activity”.

Taking a healthier approach to their burgers has proved a success of the nomadic burger bar, earning it quite the loyal following regularly turning out for the likes of the Grosvenor Burger (beef, streaky bacon, tasty cheese, cornichon and mustard sauce, lettuce and pickled dill cucumbers) and the Public Enemy (beef, streaky bacon, pickled jalapenos, caramelised onion and garlic aioli). They also boast one of the best Vegetarian burgers in town, with their Mr Fun Guy (roasted Portobello mushroom, wild rocket, Swiss cheese and pesto).

St Kilda Burger Bar’s bistro (and drive-thru) in Grosvenor Hotel is still going strong, making the Arts Centre the official second location for the brand with a hopeful third on the way, being another burger truck with no fixed address.
