Today is National Cheeseburger Day, so to celebrate we've headed to Brisbane to taste test the burgers from around the city. We've tasted some pretty incredible burgers and now we're delivering to you our five favourites, in no particular order. Not all of them are cheeseburgers, mind you, but all of them are damn delicious.

The AU review is no stranger to Secrets on Ann. The fresh and modern feel, the moody and dramatic colour scheme, the dynamic lighting, the unique cocktails… there’s much to love. The official launch night only proved that Secrets is a brilliant venue, that appeals to a very broad demographic, filling the gap in Fortitudes Valley’s market. As well as the fantastic launch, Secrets has a bright future ahead of it, with brilliant events and themed nights to come.

Party with the AU: Opening Night of Woolly Mammoth, Brisbane

the AU review sent foot soldiers out in Brisbane to suss out the newest club to hit Fortitude Valley, the Woolly Mammoth, this past weekend - she is a beast of a venue. Situated next to Cloudland on Ann street at what was once the Mustang Bar, this new hangout is going to give other long standing clubs a run for their money. Woolly Mammoth boasts two levels, three bars and a killer kitchen.

Eating With the AU: Chinatown Chow Down Preview - Fortitude Valley (Brisbane)

The Valley Fiesta has given Brisbane years of entertainment. Every year the music line up is stellar, and it gives people a night they’ll never forget. Now with the recent renovations to Fortitude Valley and the increasing popularity of the Fiesta the event stretches over 2 days. This year, the celebrations have spilled over into Chinatown, with the fantastic new Chinatown Chow Down banquet and entertainment extravaganza on August 23. Fortitude Valley has a multitude of venues for those looking for a good drink. There are boutique bars that are small and character filled, and there are huge bars with multiple levels and loud music for people to dance to. However, there are very few bars that reach a middle point between these two types of venue. Secrets on Ann manages to find that mid-point. It is a night club that has an inviting atmosphere, décor and lighting that creates a dramatic mood and a range of unique cocktails with flavours you won’t find anywhere else.

The Colombian day of Independence is a joyous occasion. Colombians all over the world unite in celebration and spend a day enjoying their culture. In Brisbane, the much loved company Revelry Entertainment hosted a street festival to aid the celebration of this day. The Colombian Independence Day Street Festival featured gorgeous Colombian food, live entertainment and an atmosphere of fun that will never be forgotten.

Party with the AU: Dutch Courage Officers' Mess Official Opening - Fortitude Valley (Brisbane)

There are few places in Brisbane that have the kind of character and atmosphere that you find in Dutch Courage Officers' Mess. With their quirky British India/military theme, Gin-based cocktails, and exceptional food, it's truly an experience you won't find elsewhere in the area. Their recent official launch party showed that "Dutch Courage" doesn't mean drunken bravery any more, it means excitement and enjoyment.
