Ten must-see artists at Coachella 2014! (Part Two)

We’re just hours away from Coachella kicking off in Indio, California and so it’s time for the second part of our list of the ten acts we reckon are unmissable at this year’s festival. If you couldn’t make it this weekend or next, make sure you tune into the festival on YouTube, and you can look back at the first part of our article here.

Courtney Barnett

The Aussie songstress is absolutely killing it overseas right now. Following her smashing performances at CMJ last October, it seemed like every festival booker in the world wanted a piece of her. Make sure you get along to find out why she’s worth the hype.

Wye Oak

We haven’t seen these guys live before, but we’ve heard nothing but great things. And having just got our hands on their new record Shriek, we can safely say that this Maryland duo are here to impress. The only thing we can’t work out is why it’s taken us so long to discover the band. So you’ll have to check out – if only to tell us what you thought of them!

J Roddy Walston and the Business

I first caught this band (in solo mode) when I stumbled across them in Austin back in 2011. I was very impressed, and though often saw them here and there while on my adventures overseas, seeing them grow in popularity each time. But now it feels like their time has finally arrived, with their latest record Essential Tremors getting the Tennessee rock band the buzz they do rightly deserve. To me they feel like the sort of band that will keep plodding away until one day they explode in a Black Keys or AFI sort of way that will leave you saying “I remember when I saw them when…”

Neutral Milk Hotel

If I need to list a reason why, then just move past this one… But if you’re a fan of the band, you know that seeing the long hibernated project live at Coachella is going to be a beautiful experience.

Bo Ningen

This Japanese rock band kick major arse. After seeing them at Big Day Out earlier this year, I can safely say that they will be a highlight of anyone’s weekend who gets the chance to check them out. Don’t miss them!

Well, there you have the rest of our top ten list. I’d also like to give a special shout out to Motörhead. Because, Lemmy. You can look back to the first part here and for more details on the Coachella festival head to http://www.coachella.com/ and if you’re interested in watching the live stream from the comfort of your living room, you can check out the schedule HERE.
