Our Top Five Live Discoveries at Culture Collide 2013!

As Filter Magazine’s Culture Collide has drawn to a close, we wanted to take a look back at some of the bands we discovered over the weekend, and bring you a list of the five bands we experienced for the first time, loved, and think you should spend some time getting to know too. The reasons for each are self-explanatory. Amazing performances that shun bright above the rest, with fantastic songs to boot. In this instance, we’ll let the music speak for itself. However, if you’d like to read more about what we thought of them, check out our day-by-day reviews in the Culture Collide hub.

5. Wooster (USA)
Where we saw them? Taix, Day One

4. The Pack AD (Canada)
Where we saw them? Taix, Day Two

On a brief sidenote, we were familiar with The Pack AD before coming to Culture Collide, but this was the first time we caught them live – and in the case of this writer, it was really the first time I’d been exposed to their music beyond one track from a few years ago. Really was blown away!

3. Tiny Ruins (New Zealand)
Where we saw her? The Church, Day One.

2. Kid Karate (Ireland)
Where we saw them? The Echo, Day Two

1. Bombay Show Pig (Netherlands)
Where we saw them? Culture Collide World Stage, Day Three
