8 Bands at WAM Festival the Bands at WAM Festival Say You Can't Miss.

We asked the bands playing WAM Festival in Perth – which kicks off today – to share with us the bands they would recommend. Here are the eight artists:

Methyl Ethel’s Picks:

You’d be hard pressed to find any act that didn’t blow ya socks off during the WAM festival, I love so many bands that are playing. I’ll be checking out Eleventeen Eston and the thoroughly in form HAMJAM for sure.

Pat Chow’s Picks:

Long Lost Brothers cause they’re a sick as super group. Andrew ryan plays a mean alternatively tuned guitar with Mitch McDonald on the drums. They rarely play live so it’s a treat to see them when they do.

Mudlark. The most askew, out there weird instrumental music i’ve heard probably ever. They’re a two piece, guitar and drums and it sounds like it could all fall to pieces at any time but never does.

Slumberjack’s picks:

We love Sable; he’s constantly coming up with new stuff to play out so there’s always fresh material in his sets. The guy’s a machine.

Another one would be Kucka. We caught a little glimpse of her set at the SOTA Festival earlier this year and are intrigued to learn more. Something about her oozes that mysterious appeal, we’ve gotta get a piece!

Tired Lion’s picks:

Apache: They’ve got a killer live set & Tim Gordon has good hair.
Pat Chow: Super 90’s. Bad ass. 3 piece.

The WAM Festival kicks off in Perth tonight with the official Opening Night party happening down at The Bakery! For more information on the festival, visit www.wam.org.au.
