With his original show at the Melbourne Zoo rained out completely back in February, the crew behind the Zoo Twilight Series rescheduled Dan Sultan's highly anticipated show to take place this week. Supported by Benny Walker, Sultan did not disappoint! Tony Proudfoot brings us these photos from the show.

Dan Sultan's Melbourne Zoo show rescheduled for March 5th.

Weather caused Dan Sultan to postpone his Melbourne Zoo show last weekend as part of the popular Zoo Twilights Series, with conditions getting so bad even some animals needing to be evacuated! The organisers are happy to announce today however, that his show has been rescheduled for March 4th.

Live Review: Sarah Blasko + Luluc - Zoo Twilights at Melbourne Zoo (06.02.15)

Gone are the days of Jazz at the Zoo - a BYO concert series with the likes of BABBA and Swing Patrol, and free FOTZ member entry. These days Zoo Twilights are a much more extravagant affair, hosting high profile international and local artists, food and beverage bars, at a costs of $50-$70 per adult, with child and family ticket options.

Live Review: Fat Freddy's Drop + Oscar Key Sung - Zoo Twilight at Melbourne Zoo (08.03.14)

Fat Freddy's Drop brought their chilled-out, laid-back sounds to the Melbourne Zoo on Saturday night, the picnic-style atmosphere proving to be the perfect setting for the relaxed and largely barefoot crowd.

Live Review: Josh Pyke + Thelma Plum - The Melbourne Zoo Twilights (28.02.14)

The bonus of watching live music at the Zoo is seeing the animals before hand and being later in the day and more temperate, the animals are less likely to be avoiding the heat of the day, lying comatose where you can’t see them. Lively lemurs, with their black and white striped, long tails, a grumpy gorilla, hefty hippo, bright coloured butterflies, tempestuous tiger, and eager baby elephant are a few of the animals that the punters not scrambling for grass space are fortunate to see.

Live Review: Something For Kate + The Orbweavers - Melbourne Zoo (21.02.14)

Melbourne is great in the way it provides so many different opportunities for live music- one of those being Zoo Twilights. Last Friday saw Something For Kate headline, with support from The Orbweavers.

Another night of music amongst the animals as The Zoo Twilight Series rolls along with The Orbweavers and Something for Kate putting on a superb performance. Carl Dziunka captured the magic.

Live Review: Clairy Browne and The Bangin' Rackettes + Chris Russell's Chicken Walk - Melbourne Zoo (07.02.14)

“Mum can I say bye to my best friend?” says a little girl before running off to a python enclosure to wave ecstatically to her scaly friend. You could imagine Clairy Browne being a similar girl growing up and making friends with snakes.
