During their run at The Great Escape, PINS' band members, Faith Holgate, Lois McDonald and Kyoko Swan had a sit down chat with the AU review's Larry Heath. The English rock band were enthusiastic about the shows that they were doing in Brighton. Front woman, Faith Holgate, mentions that they played a couple of unofficial shows back in 2012 for The Great Escape and reminisces about her experience, "It was one of our first shows. We played one of the unofficial stages at the Queen's Hotel. It was really good though - it was unofficial but it was crowded, it was great and it was our first time in Brighton."

In his first ever Australian interview, while at The Great Escape in Brighton, the AU Review meets local musician Theo Verney, who chats about the appeal of unofficial shows, 'sneaking a bit of liquor into your life' and developing focus artistically. Curating songs has always been a hallmark of the maturing artist and with Theo's new EP Brain Disease, he speaks of perfectly placed high hats. He looks back on his history with The Great Escape and talks about bringing his new material to another level in the live environment. At one point in our video interview below, the soulful, psychedelic artist even jams out to "Super Freak" by Rick James.

Is this the most elaborate album launch of all time? Introducing Camp Wildfire.

Next weekend, in the Kent Countryside of the UK, a special festival will be held dubbed Camp Wildfire for the first time. In one hand, it's a unique concept in itself: an adventure camp by day, a music festival by night, featuring a secret lineup of bands and DJs. But the three day event (held June 19th to the 21st) has been created to serve as an album launch for British ensemble Keston Cobblers Club, with their new record Wildfire being released earlier that week. It may just be one of the most elaborate album launches the world has ever seen.
