Channel [V] have launched five new music shows

Foxtel channel Channel [V] is aiming to cater for every kind of music fan with five new genre-dedicated music shows.

The shows will air weekly and aim to bring some of the best music from around the world to Australian shores. “Our audience love all kinds of music and now Channel [V] is bringing dedicated shoes to curate some of the best music from around the world from the Inide, Pop, Rock, Urban and Dance scenes”, said Rebecca Batties, Foxtel’s General Manager for Music and Head of Digital. Batties said the shows and their new presenters “…will give our audiences a new level of access and insider knowledge into the worlds they know best”.

Indie, airing Mondays at 9pm, will air both new, lesser-known independent artists and classic indie songs that have defined the genre.

Popped, the pop-dedicated show that airs Tuesdays at 9pm, will feature Top 40 songs and chart-topping artists.

The Revolution, hosted by The Used’s Bert McCracken, airs Wednesday nights at 9pm and will focus on rock and heavy metal music from across the globe. The Revolution will also feature interviews with special guests and classic rock videos that have stood the test of time.

The Connect, airing Thursday nights at 9pm, features the newest hip hop, RnB, rap, soul, and urban music. The Connect will feature classic, slow RnB as well as brand new banging tracks.

The working week is finished with The Big Mix, which airs from 7pm. Host DJ Generik will not only bring brand new dance tracks to the screen, but will also take to the decks and battle guest DJs.
