India OzFest Tour Diaries: Big Scary (Part One: NH7 Weekender in Pune)

Over the next few weeks, bands from around Australia will be sharing their adventures in India exclusively with the AU review. We’ll also be sharing stories of our own. To kick things off, Melbourne duo Big Scary will be walking through us their adventures in India for OzFest, the NH7 Weekender and The Aussie BBQ. Above, Tom gets in a cheeky Kingfisher on the roof of the hotel in Pune, where the band were playing at the NH7 Weekender.

Nearing the end of the incredible set by The Manganiyar Seduction at the Bacardi NH7 Weekender in Pune, not long after we played on the second day. How cool!

Some festival art at NH7 – These lights were powered by punters cycling on attached bikes.

The fully fantastic stage at NH7 – where we played!

The incredible backdrop for one of the main stages of the festival.

The lake at the NH7 festival site – The “Rock Ness Monster”!

Plenty more to come from all the bands who played OzFest – Karnivool, Sheppard, The Aston Shuffle, Jinja Safari and of course Big Scary… stay tuned! OzFest continues in India until February.
