Melbourne’s Alithia is about to embark on its first national tour with their unique brand of Astral Space Core.

The tour celebrates the release of their second EP release ‘A Realm O’Null’. Alithia is a band at the forefront of a new movement in music known as Astral Space Core. The result is an authentically unique sound that combines ambient, melodic, psychedelic, electronic and punk rock music.

Singer and songwriter Johnny Batchelor, bassist Phil Hall (also from Lime Spiders and Sardine v) and drummer Michael Knapp, are pulling it together for one weekend of shows to celebrate the release of their first album on iTunes.

1986, as the golden decade of rock began to grow weary, Dropbears rode off into the sunset, content in the knowledge their work was done. For Dropbears had rocked!

Next week, The Bon Scotts head into the final week or their ‘We Will All Die At The Hands Of CGI’ album tour, with the last two shows in Sydney and Maitland. The tour has already taken the Melbourne septet around the country, peaking with their near capacity album launch show at the Evelyn Hotel in Melbourne last weekend.

The McClymonts have received the 2011 CMA Global Country Artist Award. The Australian sisters - Brooke, Samantha, and Mollie McClymont - were presented with the honour during the annual CMA International Reception held on November 7 as part of festivities around The 45th Annual CMA Awards.
