While I’ll admit to not being a huge listener of country music, I do have an interest. I’ve always found it to have a balanced perspective on life. So when an opportunity arose to see Zac Brown Band, supported by Busby Marou, I was intrigued enough to take it.

In this issue: Passenger, Hungry Kids of Hungary, PVT, Voodoo Glow Skulls, Frightened Skulls, They Might Be Giants and Flume add extra shows, Zac Brown Band play Sydney, Dying Fetus & Putrid Pile and Yacht Club Djs announce supports, World’s End Press to tour with Bloc Party, last two shows for Melbourne Zoo’s twilight shows and punk PiL change Brisbane venue.

This week in the State Of Affairs: Fun times at the top of the ARIA singles chart, the Unsigned Only finalists are announced with a few local talents getting through to the final stage, many new signings from the musical to the hard edged, plus are Australians paying too much for music?

The second day of our time at the festival was full of new discoveries – and where better than New Orleans to discover something outside of your usual musical experiences? And today as Jazz Fest went live on YouTube, we hope a fair few of you were able to enjoy the festival and discover a few new artists along the way, too!
