Now in its 8th year, the Peats Ridge Festival seems to be getting bigger and bigger. World renowned as one of the leading sustainability events, "Peats" is one of the must do NYE events on most of Australian bucket lists. A gathering for all things eclectic, the event creates a environment like no other.

With the always phenomenal Peats Ridge Festival (held over New Years Eve just an hour or so north of Sydney) just around the corner (hard to believe, no?), Larry Heath caught up with Festival Director Matt Grant to chat about the event, the lineup and more...
How do you feel the line up has shaped together so far?
I made my way into the second day of Bluesfest with the following mentality: here is where the real fun begins. With legends such as BB King and Grace Jones gracing the Bluesfest stage, today was going to be quite special indeed...

Truly long running music festivals in Australia are few and far between. To most observers, Big Day Out would take that cake - kicking off in 1992. But when placed against a festival like Glastonbury, which started out in some form over 40 years ago, it pales in comparison. But believe it or not, we do have a few festivals with a similar length history in Australia. And one of them is Canberra's Stonefest.
We just received the following press release from Stonefest management:
Upon the arrival of the new decade,
patrons of the Lorne Falls Festival were left scalded by the sun’s
rays and soaked through and through by one of the most treacherous storms
the event has ever seen. Nonetheless, most of the 15,000 or so attendees
were delightfully content with the whole three days.
