The AU's 7 favourite performances and discoveries from Lollapalooza Chicago 2015

With what must have been hundreds of performances over three days on more than eight stages, Chicago's iconic Lollapalooza festival has its fair share of eclectism and choice for all attendees. And alongside the big names - from Paul McCartney to Metallica - there are plenty of unknowns too. Emerging local, national and international artists who the festival wants to give you the chance to discover. Our following feature runs through a couple of our own favourite discoveries at the festival, alongside our favourite performances from the bands we already know.

Five performances you can't miss at Lollapalooza 2015 this Sunday August 2nd - other than Florence!

Lollapalooza is now two days and nights down, with Metallica headlining the Grant Park festival on Saturday evening. With recent Australian visitors Florence + The Machine set to bring it home on Sunday, the final day, it's safe to say that Lolla has done it up right for its 2015 event. We continue our look at the program day-by-day and bring you five bands that aren't to be missed, other than the flame-haired headliner, of course!

Ahead of the event's second weekend, here are five bands I discovered this weekend, and a couple whose brilliance was reinforced...

the AU interview at The Great Escape: Wild Belle (USA)

Just after we'd chatted to Howler on the Brighton Pier, we bumped into Brooklyn based duo Wild Belle - Natalie and Elliot Bergman - and spent some time learning a bit more about them, talked about Coachella, discovered their thoughts of Australia and much more...
