We arrive at Splendour in the Grass for the first full day of festivities! In the first half of the day, we check out Sydney's Jinja Safari, up-and-coming artist Marques Toliver, Illy, The Kills, James Blake and more.

Initially, the gentle piano pop of Gossling permeated the Oxford Art Factory; like sweet ethereal ambrosia sent by overly generous deities intent on spoiling those within earshot. Her voice is simply angelic; a little more articulated than Julia Stone, but similar in its languid dreaminess.

With Smother, England’s Wild Beasts have created a beautiful third record that has been climbing the UK charts since its release. After giving the album a listen myself, I think it will be a huge success over here, too.
