Vine Double Bay launches collaborative dinner series with the city’s top chefs (Sydney)

One of Double Bay’s most loved restaurants, Vine, are launching a new collaborative dinner series with some of the best chefs across the city, kicking off over the latter half of 2016. A concept spearheaded by Executive Chef Drew Bolton, the Origins Dinner Series will be aimed at celebrating local produce and mold to suit the individual style of each guest chef, offering up one-off menus that complement each chef’s origins.

These intimate dinners will allow each guest chef to highlight where they come from, what cuisine they specialise in, and how they have crafted their style of cooking over the years. It’ll kick off at the end of July with ex-Noma Australia Chef Elijah Holland who served as Rene Redzepi’s trusted forager during the famous chef’s recent residency. Holland will be working with Bolton to use fresh produce foraged from both the Blue Mountains area and Sydney’s Northern Beaches.

This will be followed by an intimate dinner with celebrity chef Danny Russo, drawing on Russo’s roots in provincial Italy, blended with Bolton’s modern Australian style. The third dinner in the series will welcome in acclaimed Indian Chef Kumar Mahadevan (of Australia’s only hatted Indian restaurant Aki’s) to a lesson in authentic Indian mastery. The fourth and final dinner will be held with Isreali-born ex-Aria chef Roy Ner.

Each of these dinners will feature dishes matched with wines from De Beaurepaire Wines and will take place once a month from July until November. Bookings will be open at least three weeks before each dinner and can be made by calling (02) 9363 0010 or emailing [email protected]
