For anyone that hasn’t been to The Grace Emily, it is about as intimate as a honeymoon. The stage is no more than half a meter off the ground and has a capacity of 150. An interesting venue for an interesting band. Melbourne boys TZU have a sound that is hard to categorize. First and foremost, they are hip-hop but they certainly don’t mind mixing things up and dipping their toes into roots and on this new album ‘Millions of Moments (MoM)’ an electronic influence is very evident.
Diafrix (not Die-af-rix don't let them hear you say that) have just been added onto the bill at the Queenscliff Music Festival. The Melbourne based and African born dancehall and hip hop duo who are famous for their high energy performances will be adding their swag to the already insane line-up.
With TZU's forthcoming record, Millions of Moments, scheduled for a September release, it's only natural that the band be getting out on the road to showcase the new tunes! Throughout September and October, TZU will be touring the country with the new record and some classic favourites that have made them one of Australia's most creative and innovative bands.
TZU have released their video for their new single "Beginning of The End". Having just started their east coast tour (check below for details), the video is directed by noted music video director Dimitri Basil (The Grates' "Turn Me On", The Holidays' "Broken Bones" and more), the song has an electro-industrial ting with bubbling tension below.
