So, let it be known that I until this day was a Big Day Out virgin and might I say, what a ride! The day started slow and steady and ramped up for one big party at the main stages.

While backstage at the Big Day Out in Sydney, we sat down with Sydney duo Toucan to talk about their new EP, playing the festival and much, much more...

With every new album comes a new touring cycle. There’s few bands that truly please those wonderful, wonderful earholes of mine on both record and on stage, and The Kooks are one of them.

Sydney duo, Toucan are proving to be a force to be reckoned with. Having just released their debut EP Brave New World this month, the band is about to head out on an east coast tour, finishing up by playing alongside Boy & Bear and Manchestra Orchestra at Playground Weekender in March. So to find out what all the fuss is about, we had a listen to their brand new EP and it turns out the fuss is well deserved.
