Tkay Maidza has been going from strength to strength of late, and tonight truly showed what this pocket powerhouse is capable of. She brought all the noise hipsters out of their hiding places, but this made for a killer vibe in the room.

Although the night started extremely early, the young crowd were more than happy to start partying with most flashing their fresh merch (Tkay has socks guys) and enough energy to keep the acts smiling.

Live Review: Tkay Maidza - Oxford Art Factory, Sydney (10.09.15)

Nearly two years ago, a young, Adelaide rapper called Tkay Maidza played a much-hyped show at the Beresford Hotel in Sydney. It was a smallish gig, the crowd mostly made up of curious onlookers, industry people, and fans that had jumped on board her after the release of her first single, "Brontosaurus". What quickly become apparent as the night wore on was that Maidza was anything but a one hit wonder, her rapid fire flow searing through the beats. It was the most exciting thing to come from Australian rap in years.

Music Video of the Day: Tkay Maidza “M.O.B” (2015)

Tkay Maidza is killing it at the moment. Barely a month ago she was packing out the Mix Up tent at Splendour, and next week she’s kicking off a huge national tour, with dates already selling out. Keeping it consistent with the video for her breakout track "Switch Lanes”, the new video for her track “M.O.B.” is a stylised cartoon sci-fi, and it’s an amazing watch. Check it out here:

Splendour in the Grass Festival Review: Friday (24.07.15)

Rain thankfully held back for the most part, blessing the official first day of Splendour in the Grass with relatively clear skies and drying up some of the thick mud that covered the parklands; at least until the headliners.

Splendour in the Grass pre-parties set up for Byron Bay & Brisbane on July 23rd!

Whether you're hanging back in Brisbane or rolling into Byron Bay on the 23rd, there are two special pre-parties set up to make sure you head to the North Byron Parklands in the perfect spirits on the 24th.
