Album Review: Timberwolf "Flux" (2015 EP)

Chris Panousakis' career as Timberwolf has kept him on the road and busy for so much of 2014 that it's surprising he even found time to dedicate to record what has become his debut EP. Released today, Flux is a collection of songs exemplary of Panousakis' warmth and knack for melody as a songwriter and musician - this is folk music not to be taken with a grain of salt. Through the five songs featured, Timberwolf constructs some great atmospheres; the rhythms, the melodies and the haunting, almost rumbling tones of his voice put together makes for an arresting listen.

There's nothing better than discovering a band before they break into the market. You get to see them earn their chops while you stand front and centre, learning every song and becoming one of their first fans. But sometimes it helps to have an idea about where to look! Last week we brought you some acts out of Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane to be checking out if you haven't already and today, we take things to Adelaide. In no particular order, these five artists are some of our favourite new discoveries - some have been around for a little while, others are brand new additions to the scene:
