The “spiritual sequel” to Dazed and Confused to open SXSW; new trailer and poster debuts

Written and directed by Richard Linklater in his first film since the critical sensation Boyhood,  Everybody Wants Some follows a group of college baseball players in the 1980’s as they adjust to the freedoms and responsibilities of unsupervised adult life for the first time. It’s being dubbed as the “spiritual sequel” to his classic film Dazed and Confused (1993) and last month we got our first glimpse at the film by way of the debut trailer, which you can view below.

The film will premiere this March, opening the iconic South by Southwest (SXSW) Film Festival in Austin, Texas – the city that Linklater calls home. It will go on to be released in Australian cinemas on 14th April.

Will Brittain, Zoey Deutch, Ryan Anthony Guzman, Tyler Hoechlin, Blake Jenner, Glen Powell and Wyatt Russell star in the film. Take a look at the trailer – as well as its first poster – below.
