Upon the arrival of the new decade,
patrons of the Lorne Falls Festival were left scalded by the sun’s
rays and soaked through and through by one of the most treacherous storms
the event has ever seen. Nonetheless, most of the 15,000 or so attendees
were delightfully content with the whole three days.
The wonderful AU crew have joined forces to choose the best 5 albums of the 2009! Plus, selected contributors give you their personal choice for album of the year. It may surprise!
The first in a long line of FBi fundraiser gigs, OK! Relax have presented Sydneysiders with a gig at 3pm on a Monday? God bless the long weekend. And special thanks to the Queen in this case. And a bunch of quality bands for just $10? Well that's the icing on the (Queens) cake!
I arrived just in time for Last Gypsys with bluesy, psychedelic rock and roll songs, Brian Jonestown Massacre coming to mind immediately. They were a nice way to warm up my night, it was easy to listen to, but had a slightly haunting appeal about it all, keeping me watching right till the end.
