The Griswolds' Playlist: Our 12 Favourite Songs (Right Now)

As Sydney’s The Griswolds start ramping things up as they approach the long awaited release of their debut album Be Impressive (August 22nd in Australia), they exclusively share with the AU their 12 favourite tracks right now. Each member delivers their three favourites to compile this excellent playlist:

DAN DUQUE-PEREZ

Theophilus London – I Want You
Because it’s the sexiest song I’ve ever heard and I personally think it just amplifies everything good about the original and makes it even greater.

Violent Soho – Covered In Chrome
Hell Fuck Yeah

Young Money / Drake – Trophies
Listening to this a tonne lately. Because everything about it is on point.

TIM JOHN

Holychild – Happy with me
Holychild from L.A, we met these guys on our first U.S tour, they’ve become great friends. Super talented, I can listen to this song on repeat all day.

Sia – Chandelier
Sia is one of the best singers ever, for me this song cements it. It sounds like this is the 20th vocal take and she’s starting to lose her voice, makes me all emo.

The Vines – Metalzone
This may be bias and wanky because Lachy and I played on this one. but I still listen to it like a Vines fan, it’s a sick song.

LACHLAN WEST

Miniature Tigers – Used to be the shit
We’re on tour with these guys at the moment and this song is constantly in my head, it hasn’t left my conscience in 4 weeks.

The Vaccines – Do You Want A Man?
This is the first song from them that I’ve really dug, perfect lo-fi production for a really well written song. The rest of the EP it’s from is also pretty badass.

The Vines – Out The Loop
This is 100% self indulgence but I don’t care, I love this song.

CHRIS WHITEHALL

Foster The People – Are You What You Want To Be?
One of the most interesting sounding melodies I’ve ever heard, makes me wanna party in mexico

Arctic Monkeys – R U Mine
literally had this song on repeat for about a year now, so impressed that Arctic Monkeys followed up with such a kickass single after so many years

St Lucia – Elevate
we toured with these guys in Australia earlier this year and i became so addicted to this song, that percussion forces me into an air drumming frenzy
