The Drones celebrate the 10th Anniversary release of the album Wait Long By The River And The Bodies Of Your Enemies Will Float By by playing a typically scorching set at Melbourne's Forum Theatre. Local acts Batpiss and Steve Miller Band supported, while Tony Proudfoot was on hand to capture the celebrations.

Tomorrow evening, The Drones will be celebrating 10 years of their acclaimed album, Wait Long By The River and the Bodies of Your Enemies Will Float By, up in Darwin as part of this year's Darwin Festival. It's the beginning of the band's anniversary tour around the country in support of the album that started it all and it holds an added dimension of gravitas, as it sees Wait Long By The River...'s original drummer Christian Strybosch return to the fold.

The Waifs announce tour, The Drones add Sydney show and The 1975 tour is selling out fast

Western Australian band The Waifs return in 2015 to celebrate the release of their seventh LP, Beautiful You with a national tour starting in their home town. East Coast dates will be released soon, so keep an eye out in the coming weeks.

VIVID Sydney kicks off for another year this Friday and the line up is freakin' amazing, if we're honest. Such a melting pot of musicians, visual artists, performers and other creative brains in one of the most buzzing cities in Australia - it's going to be a great two weeks of shows for people to be checking out. Some of the artists we're excited to see do their thing are involved in all different aspects of the music industry; from the intrigue of goddess Grace Jones, to the heartbreaking lyrics of Sufjan Stevens - we're spoiled for choice!

Festival Review: Big Day Out - Arena Joondalup, Perth (02.02.14)

Big Day Out and Perth have had a pretty strained relationship in recent years, with venue changes, reduced line-ups and poor ticket sales. This year was no different, with Blur dropping out, and continued tensions between organisers and local councils prompting a last minute change in venues and the announcement by AJ Maddah that it would be the last time the event would come to Perth.

Festival Review: The Farmer & The Owl Festival - UniBar, Wollongong (23.11.13)

Having attended the University of Wollongong for four years and lived in the city throughout that period, I cannot stress what a joy it was to see an event like The Farmer & The Owl take place. Even more of a joy, was the fact it was run so effectively and efficiently.

The lineup for Golden Plains 8 has been announced! With Public Enemy having already been announced to perform at the Supernatural Ampitheatre in Meredith next March (8th to 10th), a whole stack of Australian and international acts have been unveiled in what represents, 'The Sound of Now, Then and Forever'.
