
How's this for a Friday festival announcement? The crew behind Bluesfest have come out with their first artist reveal this morning, naming The National and City and Colour at the top of the list for the 2016 event taking place just outside of Byron Bay over the Easter long weekend.
The current Spectrum Now festival that has been filling Sydney with music, arts, and cultural events has just added some big names to it's line up of free music down at their pop-up Spectrum Playground in The Domain. With Spectrum Playground operating until this Sunday 22nd March, Spectrum Now is hitting a home run with free performances from The Cat Empire, Jeff Martin (Tea Party), Sneaky Sound System and Angus & Julia Stone added to the impressive line up.

The Beat the Drum event is already hosting the likes of Hilltop Hoods, The Presets and The Cat Empire, but today on the Matt and Alex show, a huge second artist announcement was revealed for the January 16th party!

The Sydney Festival has unveiled its program for 2015, comprising of 179 shows next year! Returning to destinations across Sydney, Parramatta and elsewhere, the Sydney Festival is set to present shows on with world-class reputations, including 18 world premieres, 11 Australian premieres and 22 Australian exclusives.
Woodford Folk Festival returns for its 29th year this December with a vibrant and ambitious programme. They have just released their program and this year, the festival will feature more than 400 acts in 35 performance venues over six days and nights.
The Cat Empire are set to tour again this year due to their outstanding fan-base response from previous shows. The Cat Empire will tour nationally in September/October with a show that is rumoured to blow away the crowds with support acts such as Madre Monte and Tom Thum! The Cat Empire never fails to impress with their unique music style and great live performance featuring trumpets, guitars, drums, trombones and baritone horns.
