The Bennies announce extensive Australian tour 
this summer

Melbourne’s The Bennies are set to embark on an extensive summer tour. The four-piece will be supported by The Hard Aches and Wet Pensioner on most of the tour’s eighteen dates, commencing their string of shows in Hobart on the 11th of November. Click through to for the dates and details!

From Ngaiire to SAFIA, dozens of Australian artists on the first line-up for CMJ Music Marathon 2015 in New York City

CMJ Music Marathon, New York’s annual music showcase, has announced its initial line-up for 2015, with a range of performances featuring some 300 artists from Australia and the around the world. Australian acts featured include British India, singer-songwriter HOWQUA, Sydney’s NGAIIRE, SAFIA, METHYL ETHEL, The Bennies and more. Taking place in October, the 2015 installment of the CMJ Music Marathon marks the event's 35th year and will also see the likes of Catfish & The Bottlemen, Mercury Rev, Tobias Jesso Jr., Kamasi Washington, Glass Animals, Panda Bear, BØRNS and Perfect Pussy performing.

With Soundwave Festival commandeering one of the most loyal fan bases to a festival in Australia, it's always a slight disappointment to see the focus on overseas acts rather than some of the rising stars of the local heavy scene - thankfully, the 2015 season has addressed this, bringing Melbourne grinders King Parrot, Smith Street Band fellows and 420-friendly jamsters The Bennies and the avant-garde take on black metal of Ne Obliviscaris.

Festival Review: BIGSOUND Live - Night Two, Part Two ft. WAAX + Art of Sleeping + The Bennies + Airling + More... (11.09.14)

Day Two was another massive night, running around town catching new talent, and finding some real gems to savour. It was a night that included an array of different music genres ranging from loud hard rockers WAAX and punk act The Bennies, to the soothing soft vocals of Airling, to some country/folk tunes by the Pierce Brothers while Art Of Sleeping and Tin Sparrow brought us some sweet indie pop tunes.

Soundwave promised to be huge in 2015 and with this morning's delivery, it certainly delivered! Now set to be held over two days in Adelaide, Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane, a massive line up of international and Australian artists have been announced, with one set two play the first day and another to play the second. Leading the line up is the likes of Faith No More, Soundgarden, Slipknot and Slash for both days, while Marilyn Manson makes his return, along with the likes of Lamb of God, All Time Low and Of Mice & Men.

The Bennies have been tearing it up recently and in July, they're going to be bringing the party to Victoria for a run of dates with US artist Jeff Rosenstock. The Bennies will soon be heading to the US for their first tour, so this is going to be somewhat of a perfect preparation for the band who've become synonymous with chaotic live shows and an infectiously fun stage persona. Don't miss out on the following opportunities!
