Reclink Australia is a non profit organisation whose mission is to provide and promote sport and art programs for people experiencing disadvantage. For the past 21 years in Melbourne, a friendly football game between musicians and journalists has raised over $1,000,000. This year Adelaide joins the fun. Bad//Dreems, Timberwolf and more score at the 2014 Fowler's Live Music Awards!

South Australian music and its industry was celebrated last night, with the Fowler's Live Music Awards being held at Fowler's Live down Adelaide's West End. A great turn out, winners were announced from 17 Peer Voted Categories as well as those from the five Public Voted Categories, which were decided upon by over 2000 people who cast their vote. Bad//Dreems and emerging band Slick Arnold performed live at the ceremony, which was MC'd by APRA|AMCOS' Gary Burrows.

ARIA Award nominees and Fine Arts winners announced in Sydney today!

Winners and more nominees for the 2014 ARIA Awards were announced at the official event in Sydney this morning, with some of Australia's best performers and their teams recognised for their work over the past year. The winners of the Fine Arts and Artisan Awards were announced at the event, with the slew of nominees for the November ARIAs unveiled. the AU congratulates all involved - there have been some truly stellar records produced over the past year, as well as the development of some great live bands who are getting just recognition!

The latest single from The Beard Album, the fourth hairy masterpiece from Australia’s leading pro-beard rockers The Beards requires very little explanation, although whether its attempt at winning over a new breed of female fan will be successful or otherwise remains to be seen.

There's nothing better than a beard, and Adelaide agreed as The Beards had a jovial crowd at the The Gov moving on a freezing Saturday night. The Timbers and Goldstein also both played rousing sets, on what was a night of fun and great music. BEARDS!

The Stiffys are back on tour this May!

The Stiffys are hitting the road once again before they buckle down to work on their third EP. The boys will head to Sutherland on May 8th and finish the tour in Melbourne on June 6th. The Beards will be supporting the boys during their Sutherland, Penrith and Parramatta shows.

Festival Review: Byron Bluesfest (Day Two) - Tyagarah Tea Tree Farm (18.04.14)

When faced with a festival that spans five days, it can be slightly daunting when it comes to planning your timetable for each day. Day two of Bluesfest coincides with Good Friday and arriving on site for my second round, there’s definitely a festive vibe in the air, albeit less chocolate.
