the AU interview: Kidgeeridge Music Festival Co-Director Graham White talks line-up and inspirations

Held in Milton on the South Coast of NSW, only 3 hours from Sydney, the Kidgeeridge Music Festival will bring a number of iconic and up and coming Australian and International artists to the venue. the AU review chats to Graham White, Co-Director of the festival, responsible for the booking of acts, stage management and contract management. One of just 6 organisers, Graham takes us through how he got involved with Kidgeeridge, challenges he faces and festival going tips.

ARIA Award nominees and Fine Arts winners announced in Sydney today!

Winners and more nominees for the 2014 ARIA Awards were announced at the official event in Sydney this morning, with some of Australia's best performers and their teams recognised for their work over the past year. The winners of the Fine Arts and Artisan Awards were announced at the event, with the slew of nominees for the November ARIAs unveiled. the AU congratulates all involved - there have been some truly stellar records produced over the past year, as well as the development of some great live bands who are getting just recognition!

The Audreys' 'Til My Tears Roll Away' tour extended into July!

Adelaide's blues-rock-folk duo The Audreys are currently busy touring the country with their new album Til My Tears Roll Away, and they are be enjoying themselves so much they have announced some extra dates. They have also unveiled that these additional shows will be extra special as they intend to play their new album in full, followed by audience requests from their first three albums.

The Audreys add regional dates to their upcoming tour!

The Audreys have announced a string of regional tour dates to add to their upcoming national tour. The tour is in support of their album ‘Til My Tears Roll Away’ and will kick start on June 5th, and will continue till July 11th! All tickets are on sale now.

Live Review: BIGSOUND Live - Night 1 (11.09.13)

There is a magical time of the year, when all the stars align and the live music scene in Brisbane booms. This magical time of year is called BIGSOUND. Step 1: bring together industry gurus from all over the country and from across the seas and throw them together in a conference room for 4 days. Step 2: On the middle two nights, then bring them out for to party, and invite the people of Brisbane who love live music. Step 3: Watch the bliss unfold. This year BIGSOUND live boasted 120 acts over 12 glorious stages. This is a but snapshot of the two-night festival.

Sounds Australia put on a special showcase at BD Reilly's in Austin on Tuesday afternoon at SXSW, called "She'll Be Right", featuring the wonderful women of Australian music. We briefly caught Lucy Campbell, who sounded spellbinding in acoustic mode. Next up, and one of the two bands pictured, we're Adelaide's The Audreys who were performing as a duo and making their Austin debut.
