Single of the Day: Ta-ku ft. Alina Baraz "Down For You" (2015)

Ta-ku is on fire. New tune "Down For You", featuring the talented Alina Baraz has already racked up thousands of hits on Soundcloud and it's only been online for a day! Released as a bonus track on the impressive Songs to Make Up To, the song is a layered piece of gorgeousness.

Album Review: Ta-Ku - Songs To Make Up To (2015 EP)

Within the first few seconds, Perth producer/entrepreneurial barber Ta-Ku has put you into a smoothly lush atmosphere. Displaying his power over composition, Songs To Make Up To is a blissful flow of samples and vocals that evolves so naturally that it goes beyond pleasurable listening. Eliciting such a level of emotion where only half the tracks feature lyrics shows what a well thought out production can achieve, and brings it to a fine art.

Single of the Day: Ta-ku “Love Again” (2015)

After his EP Songs to Break Up To gained incredible popularity (with vinyl copies currently selling for over $500), producer Ta-Ku has broken his musical silence with the announcement of a new EP, Songs to Make Up To, as well as a new single. Focusing less on beats and even more on emotional themes, “Love Again” sets the bar high for Ta-Ku's next release. Click through to have a listen...

Festival Review: Listen Out - Ozone Reserve, Perth (28.09.14)

When Fuzzy promotions first announced a new boutique EDM festival was to be replacing Parklife, my stomach sank with dismay. Parklife had given the fondest memories and still sits in my heart as being my favourite festival experience. Yet walking up to the gates of Listen Out I was filled with excitement, the bill held some damn decent names, the rain had mostly held off, and I knew within seconds it still boasted that same indescribable atmosphere as its predecessor.

Festival Review: Listen Out - Centennial Park, Sydney (27.09.14)

After a successful first year, Fuzzy's Listen Out continues to put forth the case for festival down-sizing, standing with just three stages and a cleverly curated line up to ensure that we got just as much variety as a more excessive festival. A bit more niche and thoughtful in it's structure, the day played out with very few hiccups and once again focused on quality over quantity, exposing the direction of the summer festival season and the styles which are getting the most shine this year.

Festival Review: Field Day - The Domain, Sydney (01.01.14)

With a big night before in check, Field Day offered enough dance music to keep the celebrators happy while offering a few more chilled out options for those still recovering from New Year’s Eve. Its size, slightly smaller than a regular festival, meant that it was easier to get around and criss-cross genres throughout the day.
