As they tour around their latest single "All My Friends Are Leaving Town", we catch up with Super Best Friends to talk about the track, their incredible year, BIGSOUND, puppies (naturally) and much more... Read on:

Super Best Friends employ pugs to make excellent music video & announce tour dates!

Pugs. Arguably one of the most majestic animals to walk the earth. Also my favourite breed of dog, aside from Boston Terriers and Beagles. So you can imagine how delighted I was to receive news of Super Best Friends' new tour was accompanied by a look at their new film clip which features all the pugs. Basically my dream. The band, already known for hooking people in with some catchy as fuck tunes in the form of debut LP Status Updates, will be touring new single "All My Friends Are Leaving Town" this August and going off the success of their recent album tour, we'd say this one is going to be a great run of shows.

Album Review: Super Best Friends - Status Updates (2015 LP)

Sometimes overt politics in music are kind of awkward because they're so earnest and I don't know if we do earnest anymore... but at the same time they're nice to hear. A lot of what's happening in Australia right now is pretty much the exact conditions that spawned punk, and it's great to see some punk bands heading back to that - less 'yeah mate let's get pissed' and more 'legitimately pissed off'. Super Best Friends is that band, and on their new album Status Updates it is good.
