As we head into the final few weeks of September (eek), our contributors are getting their fine selves along to some stellar shows around the country this weekend in particular! the AU interview: Nick Martin of Sleeping with Sirens (USA) talks touring 'Madness', music business and Isles & Glaciers

It's been a big year for American rock band, Sleeping With Sirens after the release of their fourth studio record, Madness. Ahead of their Australian Tour, rhythm guitarist Nick Martin had a chat to us about the live reception of Madness, his work in the business side of the music industry and working in experimental rock supergroup, Isles & Glaciers. With his vast knowledge and music background, joining the band in 2013 has been an invaluable experience for him as a musician and business professional.

Album Review: Sleeping With Sirens - Madness (2015 LP)

Sleeping with Sirens have explored their pop rock dimensions on another level with their newest album Madness. Since their last release, the band have further explored something different from their usual scope of music and this will surely have old and new fans divided. It’s hard to move past the heavy sounding, in-your-face back catalogue offered in their earlier albums, With Ears to See and Eyes to Hear and Let’s Cheer To This. It’s a sure enough reminder that the new record holds the essence of what the band used to be but you’ll feel as though something is lacking in its entirety.

the AU interview: Kellin Quinn of Sleeping With Sirens (USA) talks new LP, career progression and more

Being the new addition to Epitaph Records, post-hardcore five-piece band, Sleeping With Sirens, have really challenged themselves to be the band they want to be. With Madness due for release shortly, Kellin Quinn reflects his journey with the band and how this record has taught him many things about responsibility, and has provided him with a sense of awakening as an individual. Prompted by the positive reactions from fans towards singles, “Go Go Go” and “Kick Me”, it’s been anticipated that this release will be their best one yet.

Hello Asia! Album Review: ONE OK ROCK - "35xxxv" (Japan, 2015 LP)

One OK Rock - "35xxxv"

As a fan of early 2000s rock music, I was really excited when I discovered ONE OK ROCK - four twenty-something guys from Tokyo who still make music like the songs I used to love as a teenager. Apparently I’m not the only one - after wildly successful American, South American and European tours last year, ONE OK ROCK are slated for four appearances across Australia at Soundwave Festival from this weekend - perfect timing following the release of their most recent long-player, 35xxxv.

Album News Weekly: 4th February 2015

In This Issue: This week sees folk darlings Angus & Julia Stone releasing something special, a few artists hitting number 9 in the album count, and the soundtrack for a movie with an interesting cover.

Album Review: Sleeping With Sirens - Feel (2013 LP)

From charismatic newcomers into mainstream success, Sleeping With Sirens have just released their third high anticipated album Feel. It’s been an eventful two years for the band since their last release; marriage proposals, weddings and births have all occurred, and helped mould a fresh sound for the band. With this album comes a more solidified pop rock sound which shows the band straying from their post-hardcore roots more familiar with fans. Commercially, Feel has been successful, with it debuting at number #3 on the US Billboard charts making it the highest chart achievement the band has had to date.

Album News Weekly: Friday, 3 May 2013

There’s a surprisingly smaller list of album releases announced this week. Though the ones that have been announced certainly create just as much excitement. Justice are releasing a live recording album from one of their concerts, heavywights Sleeping With Sirens have got a new one on the way, Wendy Matthews has returned from 12 years off, and Knife Party have a new EP! Plus there’s others too.
