SIENNA SKIES

Live Review: Story of the Year + Sienna Skies + Sweet Apes - Metro Theatre, Sydney (27.06.14)

It's been nearly eleven years since Story of the Year released their debut album, Page Avenue, performing it live for the first time in Sydney at the Taste of Chaos festival in 2005. The question is, how has the album held up live for the past decade? Dave Roberts finds out.

Live Review: Silverstein + Sienna Skies + Caulfield + Ghosts On Broadway - The Manning Bar (19.03.13)

I left tonight's show wondering if crowds were becoming tired of going to shows or of metalcore as a genre. With the exception to the response to headliners, Canada’s Silverstein, the punters at the Manning Bar lacked a lot of enthusiasm and energy. Two things synonymous with metalcore music.

Silverstein returned to Melbourne to unveil their seventh studio album, "This Is How The Wind Shifts". Supported by Sienna Skies, Belle Haven, and Who Invited The Wolf. Our photographer Serena Ho was there to bring you the highlights.

Photo Gallery: Hawthorne Heights + Sienna Skies + One Vital Word + The Cavalcade - The Cambridge Hotel (14.12.12)

Hawthorne Heights delivered a thoroughly entertaining set when they played for the first time at The Cambridge Hotel in Newcastle, performing both new and old songs from their various albums. They successfully drew a large crowd, with the help of the multiple local support bands. Jessica Ward delivers photos from the night...

Hawthorne Heights Australian Tour 2012 announced!

Who doesn't love trilogies? Lord of the Rings, Godfather, David Bowie's Berlin trilogy and now the second part to HAWTHORNE HEIGHTS trilogy of EP's Hope. Pretty fitting that a band who overcame the mother of all personal and professional trilogies - losing a band member, legal battle with their label and starting up a label of their own - would find musical masterpieces in the releasing in threes.

In Hearts Wake Announce 'The Divination Tour' for October and November!

In Hearts Wake, the rockers out of Byron Bay, are set to embark on an extensive headline tour through the coming months in support of their upcoming debut record, Divination. The album has landed at #27 on the ARIA charts and is the culmination of years and years of perseverance and focus for In Hearts Wake.

The Amity Affliction + Asking Alexandria + Skyway + Sienna Skies – Big Top (09.10.11)

As I followed the crowds of Tattooed kids down to Luna Park, I was greeted to a massive 300m line. Only two years ago The Amity Affliction were playing to a 100 people in small venues, now they are selling out the Big Top; almost 3000 people busting down the doors to see the national heroes! What an achievement!

Photo Gallery and Live Review: For The Fallen Dreams + Hand of Mercy + Sienna Skies - Masonic Hall (04.09.11)

The kids that eat hardcore for breakfast and live for a breakdown, that's the crowd that filled the Masonic Hall in Blacktown for this very inconvenient location for Sydney fans. Why Blacktown was chosen for this international gig, and not somewhere like the Annandale or even Bald Faced Stag, I'll never know. But anyway, it was all about the music, and the music was ripping.
