Rudimental and Foy Vance joining Ed Sheeran on Australian and New Zealand stadium tour!

Ed Sheeran's Australian and NZ return just got a lot bigger with the announcement that Rudimental and Foy Vance will be joining him on his massive stadium run. It's an interesting but exciting choice of acts and surely these shows are going to do huge things for both the fans of Ed Sheeran who will be introduced to both artists music (particularly Vance's) and the artists themselves. Rudimental already have a huge presence in Australia thanks to commercial airplay success and Foy Vance has recently collaborated them on new track "Never Let You Go". Vance himself has strong fan base internationally, the Irish troubadour releasing music in the last few years especially that has been met with much acclaim.

Festival Review: Future Music Festival - Royal Adelaide Showgrounds (10.03.14)

Donning my shortest shorts this past Monday for the notoriously trashy Future Music Festival, I approached the gates of The Royal Adelaide Showgrounds with scepticism, not sure what to expect as a complete “Futurez” rookie.

Live Review: Rudimental - Channel V Island Party, Sydney (06.03.14)

Rudimental

We’re on a barge in the middle of Sydney Harbour and we’re about to capsize. At least, that’s what it feels like. Because right now, 100 hyped up people are jumping in unison, and the Channel V Island is under some serious pressure. Rudimental are at the helm, and their explosive single “Feel The Love” is the cause for all the commotion. The band already have their shirts off, Mark Crown is showering the front row with sweat while ripping through a trumpet solo as the bass shudders and splinters below the drums. The beat is brutally relentless, a violent, hyperactive mix of house drums and spine shaking bass. When the song ends, and the jumping crowd regain their stance, the Island gives another gentle sway, but rights itself soon after, and all is well. Very well, in fact.

Festival Review: Future Music Festival - RNA Showgrounds, Brisbane (01.03.14)

Future Music Festival - one of Australia’s premier electronic music festivals - was a writhing pit of visceral pandemonium that began with tens of thousands of dance and electronic music fans thankful to the elemental gods for a day of blue skies. I knew, even before I entered, I was on a safari into the belly of a metaphorical shirtless, musical, beast on pills. Hashtag 'bulkin’ for Future.'
