The Used

This year's Vans Warped Tour line-up was so huge, we couldn't fit it all in one gallery. Here is part two of how the day unfolded at the Adelaide stop. Kerrie Geier brings you these shots.

Festival Review: Vans Warped Tour - RNA Showgrounds, Brisbane (29.11.13)

Friday saw the first Australian leg of the Warped Tour since 2002, bringing with it the weight of punk rock folklore. On entry to the RNA Showgrounds, festival goers were welcomed by 35 degree heat, the smell of vinyl tents and one big-arse half pipe. I settled in for a long day in front of the outdoor stage which played host to the more punk end of Warped’s musical spectrum; with the indoor stage leaning towards metalcore. As more of the band shirt brandishing masses rolled in there was an anticipatory buzz of expectation. The crowd comprised largely of a generation who’d made a yearly ritual of staring longingly at the US tour’s line-up and now finally came their chance experience the legendary festival for themselves.

The 2013 WARPED Tour stopped by Sydney on the weekend and brought out the punks, the hardcore heads and rock fans from every genre in between out to Barangaroo for a day of killer tunes. Mikki Gomez was there for the AU and brings you these snaps.

Second artist announcement for the Warped Tour drops - Millencolin and The Amity Affliction to feature!

The next artist announcement for the 2013 Warped Tour has been announced! What was already an awesome line up has just been bolstered, with the addition of the likes of Millencolin and others to the list for the summer festival tour.

Live Review: Reel Big Fish + Goldfinger + Zebrahead- HQ (04.12.12)

When a band has been going for as long as Reel Big Fish has – at this point they only have one original member left – there's always a chance that this time will be the last time. This was a lot of the buzz that I heard from the flannel clad guys and girls that lined up outside HQ on December 4th to see the ska legends with Goldfinger and Zebrahead.

the AU interview: Aaron Barrett of Reel Big Fish (California)

Before they venture out to Australia for the Soundwave Festival early next year, American 'ska-punks' Reel Big Fish have some down time to look forward to. The band's frontman and founding member, Aaron Barnett gives me a ring to chat about Reel Big Fish as it is in 2012, their new album and where this sudden resurgence in tours from 1990s bands has come from.

Reel Big Fish, Goldfinger & Zebrahead Australian Tour Confirmed!

For those who are fans of the balls-out, flailing limb, circling pit kind of comedic musical mayhem that is missing in many of today's live performances. Limber up because Reel Big Fish, Goldfinger and Zebrahead have joined forces to bring you a tour which will have you limping home with no voice and possibly shirtless on their six date tour of Australia.

Photo Gallery and Live Review: Reel Big Fish + Aquabats - UNSW Roundhouse (03.12.10)

After hearing only a little of Aquabats music, I was interested to see how this band who claim to be superheroes saving the world, actually sounded live. Coming on stage in tight blue lycra bodysuits, their energy was spread throughout the roundhouse as the all ages crowd filed through the front doors.

It’s been an awesome start to the summer for the 6-piece ska outfit, who were the winners of the triple J Unearthedslot at this year’s Stonefest, and whose new album ‘Rest For The Wicked’ is out on Friday December 3 through MGM.
