Tin Can Radio has to be one of the most underrated bands out there. They work so hard, and yet never seem to reap the rewards that those contemporaries achieve. I can’t understand this, when you attend one of their shows, you just can’t help but feel happy and dance around like an idiot.

To celebrate the Annandale Hotel's 12th anniversary, the venue is kicking off the party from July 5- 15 with a number of great acts performing.

The Annandale Hotel in Sydney will celebrate its 12th birthday with gigs galore over two weekends, from July 5th to July 14th. Check out some shows at one of the iconic live music venues in Sydney!

Here it is kids, the ultimate showdown: two newly formed indie/post punk bands going head to head in a winner takes absolutely nothing battle. In the red corner are the underdogs - The Bogey Lowensteins - fresh to the Sydney scene and playing their first gig as a band but consisting of members from Black Market Rhythm Co and Rapids. In the blue corner are These New South Whales, a side-project to a side-project group that don’t seem to give a shit whether you like them or not. It was a warm Friday night at the World Bar in Kings Cross, and the punters were thirsty for blood... and music.

You have to love it when an event goes to the trouble of making a promo video for their gig and the SOSUEME crew will have plenty of time on their hands to make more of these. The trashy Sydney Friday night ritual in Oxford Street's Q-bar is sadly no more, but fortunately it seems SOSUEME will return in the form of one off events, like tonight's Christmas party.
The
Oxford Art Factory can sure put on a hell of a party.
