"Holy shit" seems to be among the most commonly used words on the internet this morning with the announcement of the Coachella 2012 lineup.

In my final day of Splendour in the Grass for 2011, it was the main stage calling: with one of my favourite bands playing (Pulp), I was determined to get a spot early in the day. And so I did! But unfortunately this meant I was going to miss bands like Young The Giant, The Herd and Noah and the Whale - but that’s in the name of it isn’t it? Following a successful album launch tour and the release of a record that Rolling Stone has called "one of the best albums of the year", Belles Will Ring will support Britpop icons Pulp at their Splendour In The Grass sideshows next week, before embarking on a national tour with Leader Cheetah.

One year from our inaugural event, we're back with news of the second instalment of Perth's very own polyphonic spree, On The Bright Side 2011
On The Bright Side 2011 is set to bring some of the hottest acts from Australia and abroad to Perth for one big, beautiful, sonic extravaganza under the Supertop at Esplanade Park on Saturday 23rd July

If you're not heading to Woodfordia, Splendour in the Grass today announced a massive pile of sideshows. Most only take place in Melbourne and Sydney - though there is WA's On The Bright Side Festival which features many of the Splendour artists. Throughout the last 24 hours you've seen the AU review pile you with all the official sideshow announcements... so we thought we'd cut to the chase and give you all the rest in one fell swoop. We imagine there'll still be more announcements to come, but today definitely marked the majority... see you at the shows!
