In anticipation of his show tomorrow night in Fitzroy (The Empress Hotel) and on the 2nd of July at the Oxford Art Factory in Sydney, we catch up with up-and-coming Sydney hip hop artist Phatchance.
Your debut album Inkstains was a critical success and has seen you do quite well on the live circuit - what can we expect from your follow up album? What will you be doing differently to what we found in Inkstains?

Simply put, Coptic Soldier AKA Luke Girgis is one of the most promising acts in Australian hip-hop and “The Sound of Wings 2 EP” proves his worth.
Australian hip-hop artist Phatchance was met with success and critical acclaim when he released his debut LP “Inkstains” back in 2009.

The first annual Australia's Year in Music hardcover publication was launched on Tuesday night at the Woolloomooloo Bay Hotel in Sydney, with superb performances from Brendan Maclean, Phatchance, Coptic Soldier and Anthony Hughes and the International Love Experiment (not pictured). Chicks Who Love Guns, Ambi and Hayley Foster from Chaingang were all kind enough to DJ as well.

Five folk acts piled into the Brass Monkey in Cronulla. End result was just about pure awesome.
Phatchance's "Inkstains" video clip came out towards the end of September, but I only just caught it this week. Produced by Triple J in association with NIDA, and directed by Stephen Nicolazzo.
