Bad//Dreems, Timberwolf and more score at the 2014 Fowler's Live Music Awards!

South Australian music and its industry was celebrated last night, with the Fowler's Live Music Awards being held at Fowler's Live down Adelaide's West End. A great turn out, winners were announced from 17 Peer Voted Categories as well as those from the five Public Voted Categories, which were decided upon by over 2000 people who cast their vote. Bad//Dreems and emerging band Slick Arnold performed live at the ceremony, which was MC'd by APRA|AMCOS' Gary Burrows.

Violent Soho came through for their first Adelaide show of their entirely sold out Australian tour. With Melbourne kings The Smith Street Band and Adelaide's own Paper Arms in tow, mega-fan and AU photographer Lauren Connelly was once again there to capture the raucous.

Nominees for the 2012 Fowler's Live Music Awards Announced

The South Australian music industry will gather at one of the city's most popular venues this November for the Fowler's Live Music Awards for 2012. Aiming to celebrate the diversity of live music produced in SA, the 21 Industry Awards recognise success and achievement over the past year, as judged by Fowler's Live owner and operator, Peter Darwin and a group of music industry professionals.

Attendance at the Adelaide Big Day Out was way down this year, but the enthusiasm level of the crowd was high. A scaled down show, minus the eastern states headliner Kayne West and one main stage gave this festival a more intimate feel. Between the main stage and the Guvera skate stage, Legends of Vert performed on the half pipe skate ramp. Perfect weather for an enjoyable day of music.

City Riots and more set to support The Get Up Kids on national tour

City Riots have kicked many musical goals since their inception in late 2008. Triple J play? Check. SXSW? Check. CMJ Music Marathon? Check. For this indie-pop band, this is only the beginning. It seems things arenʼt letting up for the Adelaide four-piece with this year in full swing, with City Riots set to show off their wares supporting The Get Up Kids nationwide.

Tickets for Poison City's Weekender Fest 2011 go on sale Monday May 30th. As announced last week, The Weekender takes place Friday September 16th and Saturday September 17th at The East Brunswick Club and then Sunday September 18th at The Tote Hotel.
