In This Issue: A seriously mixed bag this week. Big artists like Conor Oberst and Ozomatli are back with records coming out in the next couple of months. Melbourne also is represented by Courtney Barnett and Saskwatch both releasing albums soon. Sydney gets Infinity Broke and newbie's DMA's, and Darwin has electronic soul duo Sietta. the AU interview: Raúl Pacheco of Ozomatli (Los Angeles) talks Bluesfest and "Place in the Sun"!

This Easter weekend, Los Angeles group Ozomatli will be bringing their some twenty years of experience back to the Byron Bay Bluesfest. They're a band who are always a favourite of the festival and this year should be no different. Just before they come down under though, they are releasing their eighth studio album, Place in the Sun, an anticipated release, and their first since 2010's acclaimed Fire Away - with the notable exception of Ozokids in 2012 - which, as you can guess, was a kids record. Now it's time we see the band back to what they do best!

Ozomatli and Chali 2na lighting up stages in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne this April!

Party starters Ozomatli are going to be taking to stages in Brisbane, Sydney and Melbourne this April alongside Chali 2na! The LA crew will be out for Bluesfest and while they're no strangers to the festival or Australian crowds, the east coast of the country better prepare, because these are going to be three kickass shows to be amongst. Renowned for flitting between and fusing genres, Ozomatli represent a true all-encompassing nature of music and cultures.

Album Review: Ozomatli - Ozomatli presents Ozokidz (2012 LP)

My first listen of the new Ozomatli record was on a recent weekend road trip with my girlfriend. By the second song we gave each other that "WTF" look. In hindsight, should of read the presser before listening. Ozomatli have created a kids record. Inspired after being commissioned to write some educational songs for PBS in the states, the seven piece latino rock band set out to create a full album of quirky kids songs that's a bit like a The Wiggles if they spent a year in the Caribbean with Rastafarians.

Harvest Festival announces the lineup for 2012!

We named Harvest Festival our favourite festival of 2011, and after a slight bit of worry that the Brisbane leg could be culled due to council concerns...well, to say we were thankful to hear that it would be back in all cities in 2012!

The lineup was announced on Triple J, and boy howdy...well, let's just get to it. It's out of this damn world.
