Nathan Fillion reprises Mal Reynolds role for Firefly Online MMO

When Firefly Online, a strategic roleplayer based on Joss Whedon’s short-lived but much-adored sci-fi television show, was announced at San Diego Comic-Con last year, the game’s creators mentioned that cast member Nathan Fillion would be returning to voice his character Malcolm Reynolds in the game. Hit the jump to see and hear him doing just that.

Fillion will be voicing Malcolm Reynolds, the ship captain and noted ruffian he played on the show and it’s 2005 film adaptation Serenity. The teaser above is part of a much longer interview you can watch over at The Cortex, a mobile companion app for Firefly Online.

Originally announced back in 2013, the officially licensed Firefly Online is being developed for Windows PC and Mac as well as Android and iOS. The game is still set to launch Q3 2015 but no official release date has been given as yet.
