Photo Gallery: DARK MOFO Satanalia ft Boris + Barbarion + Mono + The Drones and more... - MAC2 (22.06.13)

Hobart's winter festival DARK MOFO celebrated its closing with a party dubbed "Satanalia", featuring a blend of Australian and International bands of a dark, brooding manner, including Mono (Pictured), Boris and The Drones, capping off a most eclectic and diverse arts and cultural festival. Tony Proudfoot was there to represent the AU review and brings us these photos from the event night.

Live Review: Mono + Mick Turner - The Hi-Fi Melbourne (23.06.13)

In the cold deserted Sunday night streets of Melbourne, a small line snaked out of The Hi-Fi on Swanston St, Melbourne. An interesting little line where by you would see a lot of fluffy jackets, iPhone cases being looked at and thick-rimmed glasses aplenty (your reviewer included). Once punters were let in, the sedate drinking started. Everyone seemed to be having civil conversation while downing in some sort of a beverage. It seemed to me like any post-rock fan party.

Japanese rockers Mono hit the Hi-Fi in Melbourne, supported by Mick Turner. Our very own Serena Ho was there to capture all the action from the pit.

Tickets for all the shows are on sale now.

Mono + Wintercoats - The Forum, Melbourne (07.10.11)

Although the Forum was already quite full by the time support act Wintercoats (AKA James Wallace) came on stage, most punters opted to drink and chat, which unfortunately meant that their voices could be heard throughout the whole set.
