SongHubs India Photo Gallery: Watch as Cloud Control, Peking Duk and more collaborate with Indian artists.

the AU Review's head photographer Johnny Au was invited to travel to Mumbai, India to capture the annual songwriting camp called SongHubs. SongHubs India is an initiative of APRA|AMCOS that teams up four Australian artists with local Indian musicians to come up with four songs of demo quality daily. This year we saw Cloud Control, Money For Rope, Peking Duk and Appleonia make the trip.

Money For Rope spoke with the AU review's Johnny Au at the Aussie BBQ in Mumbai earlier this month. They chatted about how amazing it was to go to Bombay's biggest recording studio in the heart of Bollywood for Song Hub, which exposed them to other cultures and ways of songwriting, made them feel like they were on a school camp with fellow Aussie bands, Peking Duk, Cloud Control and Appleonia. They spoke about how excited they are to be supporting Courtney Barnett around Europe, and outlined their plans to release a new album in 2015.

Our head photographer Johnny Au has been travelling around India with four Australian artists Appleonia, Cloud Control, Money For Rope and Peking Duk. They made a stop at Mumbai to play The Aussie BBQ showcase at the packed Blue FROG venue as part of the Music Connects conference. All four artists played exceptionally well and the mostly local Blue FROG audience were keen to discover Australian music acts to follow.

India's premier music festival the NH7 Weekender is held throughout India over November with some of the biggest names in local and overseas Indie music appearing on the lineup. Australian artists have been featured prominently on the lineup of NH7 Weekender and this year artists such as Appleonia, Cloud Control, Money For Rope and Peking Duk (pictured above) were invited to perform at the Kolkata and Bangalore versions of NH7 Weekender.

The festival which is already set to host the likes of Jackie Onassis, The Bennies, City Calm Down and more fantastic Australian bands, has announced another slew of amazing artists confirmed to head to 'The Farm', just outside Loch Village in Victoria this NYE.

The Great Escape, known to many as Europe's answer to SXSW, has confirmed and released the names of the first 100 artists set to appear at the event, which will be kicking off the UK festival season. Among those announced, a few Australian bands will be joining the bill, including Dune Rats, Courtney Barnett and more.

SXSW has begun rolling out its first round announcements, with Music, Film and Interactive categories each making their initial reveals. Live Review: Money For Rope + Drunk Mums + Bec and Ben - Cherry Bar, Melbourne (16.08.13)

Well, that got pretty out of hand. A few songs into Money For Rope’s set, and the entire bottom half of Cherry had turned into a mass of screaming, violently flailing scoundrels that swallowed any innocent bystanders on the sidelines. It was the logical conclusion to the pressure that had been building since the night began with opening act, Bec and Ben.

'NYE On The Hill' announces bands and artists to perform at Wonthaggi festival!

If you're looking for yet another festival to get to over the New Year period, perhaps NYE On the Hill is up your alley! Set at 'The Farm' at Wonthaggi, about 95 minutes out of Melbourne, the festival is set to showcase some great Australian talent in a picturesque setting!
