Sydney Festival Photo Gallery and Live Review: Lindstrøm + Classixx + Mitzi - Paradiso at Sydney Town Hall (26.01.13)

For many punters, Saturday night was not the first time walking into Sydney Town Hall's Paradiso. The pop-up venue had been open for a week now, and many had already taken advantage of the beautiful historical space, either at a paying gig, or at the "free in paradiso" events. The venue never ceases to amaze however, and it is hoped that the city will continue to use the potential of this room in the future.

Live Review: Foals + Mitzi - Oxford Art Factory (22.01.13)

Having played a sold out Enmore Theatre show in early 2011, it was a somewhat peculiar (though, for fans, quite welcome) step backward for British post-punk quintet, Foals, to grace the stage of Oxford Art Factory. Needless to say, despite announcing two Big Day Out sideshows, both sold out in minutes.

Playing in Adelaide tonight, I sent off some questions for the band to ponder over whilst on the road. Jad Lee, Mitzi's keyboardist, took the task on and provided the following responses!

Mitzi Steal Hearts On Tour with their new single 'Who Will Love You Now'

“Mitzi’s blend of lazy disco grooves and anthemic pop hooks is reminiscent of DFA’s own Holy Ghost, admittedly with a sunnier disposition and typically Australian breezyness.”
- Juno
