Usually Oxford Street at 4 o’clock in the arvo boasts nothing more than a few old guys having a VB at the local pub, and maybe a couple of loud and obnoxious girls with penis paraphernalia going out for a hens night. You can imagine how shocked they’d have been this past Saturday when Oxford Square was flooded with hundreds of music enthusiasts, transforming the street into the new music festival to keep an eye on, VOLUMES.

BIGSOUND has named the first 50 artists for the 2015 live program and for another year, Brisbane looks to become a buzzing hive of excellent live music in September! BIGSOUND Live sees 14 music venues through the Valley taken over by some impressive line ups of bands from around Australia and abroad over two nights for what has become Australia's biggest gathering of industry and music fans. Last year's BIGSOUND program was hectic, showcasing some diverse and brilliant talent - both emerging and established - and this year is going to be no different.

Fremantle four-piece San Cisco captivated a sold out crowd in Adelaide on Thursday night, armed with the cool tunes of their latest album Gracetown. Syrupy smooth vocals paired with their carefree sound had everyone at The Gov enthusiastic and ready to groove. The audience packed into the venue early, collecting their drinks from the bar in advance to ensure they secured a spot centre-stage.

Perth’s In The Pines Festival, set to return Sunday, 19 April 2015, has just announced the first of their 2015 lineup. Taking place on two stages within the surrounding greenery of the UWA’s Somerville Auditorium, the line up will include Abbe May, punk band Aborted Tortoise, Fait, and experimental pop band, Methyl Ethel and many others.
